Esportsbet.io Risk Compliance Triggers
The Esportsbet compliance philosophy comes down to both defending ourselves from fraudulent profit seekers and to support responsible gambling. We always protect initial deposits. For profits from Tier 2 and Tier 3 leagues, we put a very significant restriction on withdrawals because of how easy they are to game or cheat, and how little attention is put to them from all regulators
Remember Esportsbet is a decentralized crypto-focused platform and we put heavy emphasis on user privacy. Cheating is illegal but unlike other platforms, there is little to no personal risk to users as they remain mostly anonymous. Instead, we put significant checks and balances in place on Tier 2 and Tier 3 games. We want to incentivize healthy betting portfolios and will continue to feature and push Tier 1 games to our players where they can do their own proper due diligence.
To not trigger our compliance flags, we require you to have 80% of the bets and winnings from Tier 1 games. Only Esportsbet reserves the right to potentially lower this percentage. If you do not reach the threshold set by our staff, your account will be subject to further compliance screening
As esports continues to grow, smaller local leagues will continue to become more reputable and may rise in Tier. Likewise, events can happen to cause certain leagues or matches to drop in Tier. For a full list of current events and their tiers, please click here or contact our customer service agents.
The Esportsbet.io tier system is not only based on the competitive level and prestige of an event but also factors in the likelihood of fraudulent activity based on historical data and evidence from decades of experience. Esportsbet.io offers a diversity of bet types for leisure betting only, thus Low-tier leagues should not compose the majority of a user's portfolio. Please note:
We truly hope you have fun on Esportsbet.io and continue to love esports as much as we do.
In order for any match or event to be listed as Tier 1, it must meet the following criteria:
Competitive Format
Tier 1 matches represent the highest level of competition in a game. Even if the best teams in the world are playing, exhibition and non-competitive matches with nothing significant at stake do not count for Tier 1.
Established Teams
Only the top teams with a proven record of excellence (Evil Geniuses, Damwon Gaming, Fnatic, Cloud9, etc.) are qualified for Tier 1 status.
Reputable Organizer
Only internationally recognized leagues and groups are qualified as Tier 1. Leagues like ESL, LPL, and LCK are all Tier 1.
Best League at the Time
In general, only one league (in the same game) can be counted as Tier 1 at any given time. For example, if ESL, DPL, and Wagyu are all happening at the same time, only ESL will be considered as Tier 1. League of Legends major leagues such as LPL, LCK, and LEC are exceptions and are all considered Tier 1.
Significant Prize Pool
The more that's at stake, the more attention is paid to fair play.
Historical Fairness
Any organizers, teams, or players with a history of match-fixing will not be considered as Tier 1.
